ALLEGHENY – Rep. Lori Mizgorski (R-Allegheny) will host a Seniors for Safe Driving event on Thursday, Sept. 8, for mature drivers. The course will be held at the Northern Tier Library, located at
4015 Dickey Road, Gibsonia, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The course is designed for drivers age 55 and older to become more safe and confident on the road, and costs $16. Drivers who complete the course will receive a minimum 5% discount on their auto insurance as required by state law. Refresher courses are required every three years after the initial course. The course is classroom instruction only and no exam will be given.
“This class will teach strategies to keep the driver and all passengers safe,” Mizgorski said. “Everyone can benefit from a refresher on the rules of the road at some point, and this is a great opportunity to make sure you know all current driving laws and techniques to stay safe.”
Those interested in attending should register at www.SeniorsForSafeDriving.com or call 1-800-559-4880.
