HARRISBURG – Rep. Lori Mizgorski (R-Allegheny) was sworn into office to represent the 30th Legislative District in Allegheny County today.
“I am honored to have been elected state representative by the constituents of the 30th District,” said Mizgorski. “I’m excited to hit the ground running and engage with my constituents in a greater capacity. I look forward to working across party lines to ensure our district continues to be a safe and vibrant community.”
Mizgorski served as a Shaler Township commissioner since 2010, where she was appointed as chair of the Public Works Committee, was a member of the Parks and Recreation Committee and a delegate to the North Hills Council of Governments. She also served as chief-of-staff for her predecessor, former Rep. Hal English.

As a dedicated community leader, Mizgorski said her top legislative priorities going into this session will be passing a balanced budget and revenue plan, maintaining funding for her district’s transportation needs and supporting school safety measures.
“As a former Shaler Township commissioner and chief-of-staff for Rep. English, I understand the needs of the district,” said Mizgorski. “I will continue to listen to concerns, respond to needs and address the issues of the residents in our district.”
In addition to her strong leadership background, Mizgorski served on the board of directors for the Allegheny River Towns Enterprise Zone (ARTEZ) for five years, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting economic development within its member municipalities. In 2013, she was appointed by the governor to serve for two years on the Conservation and Natural Resources Advisory Council. Mizgorski has also been a dedicated member of the Shaler North Hills Library Board of Directors for twelve years.
The 30th District includes Hampton and Richland townships, portions of O’Hara and Shaler townships and the borough of Fox Chapel in Allegheny County.
